WITH the 2023-24 season now over Cowdenbeath’s board of directors have turned their attention to finding a new boss for next term.

With interim manager Stevie Crawford having completed his four game brief, stepping in to help after the move of Calum Elliot to Bonnyrigg Rose last month, the club hope to complete their search for a new man over the next 10 days.

Cub secretary David Allan told the Times: “The club would like to express its gratitude and to thank Stevie and his assistants, Jason Dair and Graeme Nutt, for their willingness to come in to help us at short notice, by taking charge at Central Park.

“Their hard work and professionalism has been much appreciated by all those connected with the club.

"It has really been a pleasure to have them with us. We wish Stevie, Jason and Graeme all the very best in the future and hope that Stevie’s planned new venture goes well.”

He added: “Now we are looking ahead and have been sifting through an encouraging number of applications.

“We hope to make progress this week, by choosing a short leet of applicants and speak to them.

“We want to get the right person to take the club forward and hopefully we can complete that by next week to give the new boss the time to start the recruiting process for the 2024-25 season.”
