Caledonian Braves 3 Cowdenbeath 2
STEVIE Crawford’s time as interim Cowden manager came to a disappointing end as two late goals denied him the win which would have seen his side finish ninth in the Lowland League, writes Andy Mullen.
Instead the Blue Brazil finished their campaign a place below, level on 46 points with Albion Rovers and Stirling University, albeit this was five places and 10 points better off than last season.
Cowdenbeath got off to a bright start and went ahead after just four minutes when Zac Butterworth dispossessed a defender and his shot was helped into the net by Braves defender Archie GRAHAM as he attempted to clear the ball off the line.
As the game ebbed and flowed there were opportunities for both sides to hit the net.

And it was Braves who got back on level terms, nine minutes from the break, when Cammy Breadner went on a good run down the left wing and his cross was slotted home by Aiden CLOCHERTY to make the half-time score 1-1.
In the 56th minute Cowden got back in front when Jamie DOCHERTY fired home from the edge of the box, via the inside of the post, for his 15th goal of the season.
Then midway through the half they had an appeal for a penalty waved aside when a high foot from a Braves defender caught Adam MacDonald’s head.
Just as it looked like Crawford's men would hang on for the win, Caley levelled for a second time with just five minutes left on the clock.
It was another cross from Breadner that did the damage with sub Josh GEMMELL firing home from close range.
And it went from bad to worse for Cowden when another substitute, Scott CUSICK, bundled home the winning goal from inside the six yard box.
