Tam O'Ware delivered a shock to his players before they dumped Dumbarton - and hopes it can end Kelty Hearts' away day blues.
The New Central Park outfit are on the road to Stranraer this Saturday aiming to pick up their first League Two points away from home this season.
They've been pitch perfect on home turf - Stirling Albion were beaten there before the Sons at the weekend - but the Maroon Machine have lost at both Forfar Athletic and Elgin City so far.
O'Ware will be keen to turn their away form around at Stair Park and, following their victory at the weekend, revealed he'd presented some data to his players that caused surprise, in the aftermath of their 4-1 drubbing at Borough Briggs seven days prior.
It had a positive effect, as Kelty saw off Dumbarton 3-1, after which boss O'Ware praised the performance of on loan St Mirren full back, Thomas Falconer.
"If you take the four games, twice we've not shown up," he said.
"We've not done the basics. Forget anything tactical, we've not worked hard enough, we've not put the distances in, and we showed them that during the week.
"I think they got a bit of a shock at the work they put into the home games, compared to the two away games, especially Elgin, which is on a bigger pitch, and should never happen.
"Today, individually, we were brilliant. My centre backs were strong and aggressive. My midfielders ran, my strikers caused problems - Robbie Cole and (Ryan) Shanley together caused real issues - but I thought the standout was Thomas Falconer.
"Because of how they play, they leave one of the sides lopsided, but he had loads of one v one duels, and I don't recall many going past him.
"He was excellent and, for a young man, he'll not have played, or made many, starts, but I thought he was outstanding today."
