The founder of Beath Boxing Club was banned from serving as a technical official at the Commonwealth Games due to allegations that he assaulted children in the ring, according to reports.
It is claimed that Jon-Paul Hynd headbutted a 15-year-old, and struck another child with an unknown object during sessions at the Cowdenbeath facility.
The BBC has reported that Boxing Scotland is looking into a complaint that he attacked the first teenager by “striking him with his head” last year when he responded to “verbal belittlement”.
Police Scotland looked into the incident but found no evidence of criminality.
Mr Hynd is said to have been reported to the governing body in April. He has been suspended pending an investigation, during which will have to stay away from the club and related activities.
During one of its “Cubs” sessions, it is alleged that he hit a child “aged approximately eight or nine” over the head with an item.
That was said to have been seen by a fellow coach, who then left the organisation for a period.
Another accusation is that after one boxer injured his hand, he felt “forced to undertake unsuitable exercises”. He left the gym a short time later due to feeling “bullied”.
Bullying allegations extend to Mr Hynd repeatedly making fun of another child who had recently lost weight.
Beath Boxing Club and Boxing Scotland were approached for comment.
