DESPITE going down to a second successive one goal defeat, it was a much-improved performance at Foresters Park last night, writes Andy Mullen.
Cowden's best chance of the night came with 12 minutes gone when Dylan Mauchin once again saw a shot crash off the post after getting on the end of a Rhys Walker cross, the midfielder having suffered the same bad luck on Saturday against Gala Fairydean.
Then from the rebound Bryan Mwangi shot just wide and Cowden created some decent openings and at the break there were no goals.
The decisive goal came after 50 minutes when Guy McGARRY headed past Dion Gear following a cross from former Cowden player Dean Brett.
The Blue Brazil kept searching for a goal but just could not get the ball into the net.
