Kelty Hearts 0 Queen's Park 2, Premier Sports Cup, Group A
Two goals in five second half minutes saw Kelty Hearts lose out to Championship Queen's Park in the Premier Sports Cup.
The Maroon Machine played their first Group A fixture on home turf, having returned from their opener, at Queen of the South, on Saturday, with a draw.
They also collected a bonus point by winning a penalty shoot-out and, for more than 70 minutes, were on course to get something against the Spiders.
The League Two hosts, however, fell behind with 18 minutes to, when Aidan Connolly netted from close range, before Jack Hamilton headed home Louis Longridge's corner to double the Glasgow side's lead.
"First 45, I thought we were really good," Kelty boss, Tam O'Ware, said.
"We handled the ball well, had a lot of possession. My one criticism is that I don't think we threatened the backline, or the goal, enough, with the possession we had.
"That's something we need to get better at. We need to penetrate the backline more and get more targets at goal for the possession that we have.
"Then, second half, we started well, but, the two goals that we concede, can't happen."
Queen's Park, with two wins from two, top the section, with Aberdeen, winners at Brora Rangers on Tuesday, second, and Kelty third.
Brora visit New Central Park next Tuesday, before O'Ware's side travel to Pittodrie on Saturday July 25.
