Kelty Hearts are understood to be on the verge of securing new additions to their squad as they begin to prepare for next season.

The New Central Park outfit are beginning to shape their pool for League Two football, having suffered relegation, ending a four-season stay in the third tier.

Chairman, Jordan Gardner, said in a supporter update that the club's football staff are "working closely" with boss, Tam O'Ware, on rebuilding the squad for the summer.

The 'Maroon Machine' have provided an update on their playing staff, with Dylan Corr and Lewis Moore signing up for next season.

Players who are also under contract for next term include captain Craig Johnston, goalkeepers Cole Miller and Ryan Adamson, defenders Corrie Fellows, Callum Flatman, Jack Brydon and Brody Paterson, midfielders Alex Ferguson, Grant Leitch and Jay Snoddy, and attackers Ross Cunningham, Innes Murray and James Graham.

Three players are leaving the club - Murray Thomas, who made 71 appearances over two seasons - Aaron Arnott, who played 46 times since signing last summer, and Arran Pettifer, who joined in January.

On-loan Jack Wyllie, from Rangers, Cammy Cooper, from Airdrieonians, and Sam Fisher and Alasdair Davidson, from Dunfermline, have also returned to their parent clubs, whilst discussions are ongoing with Kyle Gourlay, Luke McCarvel, Robbie Cole, Craig Clay and Ben Hobbs over their futures.

Speaking to Times Sport, O'Ware is anticipating fresh faces being unveiled imminently, commenting: "The ones that are out of contract, there wasn't too much we could do.

"We had to free up some funds for the summer in certain positions, especially with the situation I had last year with forward players.

"Aaron Arnott, Arran Pettifer, and Murray Thomas, are away. We've managed to extend Lewis Moore and Dylan Corr. We did that a few months ago, and there's still things to be done to the squad, but that'll get done in due course.

"There'll be a couple of player announcements in the next couple of days, that we've managed to tie down over the last couple of weeks.

"It's just very much ticking off, bit by bit, what our plan is and what we want to be doing."

"We've had a clear plan in place since January and it's good just to be able to take action on it just now."
