Whilst the Cowdenbeath Racewall was quiet this weekend, next week it returns with a two day meeting where the second World Final, the ORCi Stock Rod version, takes place.
The World Final will take place on the Saturday evening after a series of qualifying heats whilst on Sunday the drivers race for the Simon Laing memorial trophy.
The last time that the Stock Rods raced it was the UK Champion Michael Bethune from Cowdenbeath dominated with a heat and then a meeting final win. Bethune is a past World Champion, winning the title in 2015 and will be amongst the pre race favourites this year.
Not only will he have the likes of Cammy Doak and Leon Stewart to contend with but the likes of local drivers Stuart and Bailey McKinnon from Kincardine who are more than capable of winning the title.
