IT’S another Fife derby next month as Dunfermline Athletic and Kelty Hearts have been drawn against each other in the SPFL Trust Trophy.
The Pars dumped East Fife out of the competition on Saturday, with a 2-0 win, and were pulled out of the hat first during today's draw.
Kelty progressed to the fourth round with a comfortable 3-1 win over Elgin City.
This ensured an intriguing clash between the near neighbours, with James McPake's side struggling at the bottom of the Championship and up against Michael Tidser’s high-flying League One side, with a spot in the quarter finals up for grabs.
The tie will be held at East End Park, either on Saturday 12 or Sunday October 13 - exact dates are yet to be announced.
Kelty are top of League One following an unbeaten start to the season, with Michael Tidser claiming the manager of the month award for August, whereas Dunfermline are bottom of the Championship, having gone four league matches without a win.
