CRAIG JOHNSTON admitted his confidence is growing after the striker found the back of the net in back to back games.
The forward scored a brace to put Kelty two to the good during their 3-1 win over Elgin in the SPFL Trust Trophy, with Scott Williamson adding a third.
This follows on from his strike against Dumbarton the previous week, which was his first goal of the season.
Johnston now seems to be hitting a bit of rhythm, with three goals in two games, which he hopes to carry forward into the league.
He said: “I take a bit of confidence scoring at Dumbarton and it’s always good playing the next week if you’ve scored.
“You go in with more confidence and it sometimes just falls for you a bit better.”
Kelty player/manager Michael Tidser was brimming with pride seeing Johnston score his brace against Elgin.
The boss had called for the striker to hit the net more, hoping this will be a platform he can build on.

Johnston earned himself the Man of the Match award for his performance, which saw him linking up with teammate Williamson for both goals.
“I thought it was good,” he said. “The gaffer said the main thing was getting into the next round and that’s what we’ve done.
“We defended well, I got two goals, Scotty got a goal, the strikers are scoring – we dominated most of the game and we deserved it.
“It was hot and sticky but coming through at 3-1, we deserved to go through.”
There was a bit of debate around who should be credited for the opening goal, with Williamson’s free kick ricocheting off of the crossbar and down onto the goal line.
Nobody could tell if the ball crossed the line, Johnston charging forward and scoring his tap in to open the scoring.
He joked: “No debate, that’s mine.”
