COWDENBEATH have signed a "highly recommended" young Australian defender.
Declan Turner signed in time to be included in the squad for last night's match at the University of Stirling - he was an unused sub in the 2-1 defeat.
The Aussie was part of the under-23 squad at Chesterfield last season and has moved north to Central Park to try and further his football career.
Manager Calum Elliot said: "Declan came highly recommended to us.
"He came and trained for a week and looked really good. He’s backed himself, moved up to Scotland for an opportunity.
"He’s a typical Aussie - he's got an amazing attitude and can play a number of positions.
"He's got a lot to learn but there’s a player there.
"He’s a young boy, who we will need to be patient with but I’m sure he will grab the opportunity when it comes his way."
