BRANDON Barker and Ryan Jack are both in contention for a place in the Rangers team to face Galatasaray in the Europa League play-off at Ibrox tomorrow night after returning to full training.

However, Cedric Itten, the Swiss striker who scored two goals in the 5-1 win over Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday, is a “major doubt” due to a knee problem.

Scotland internationalist Jack has been sidelined since limping off in the Premiership match against Dundee United with a calf injury earlier this month.

Winger Barker also suffered a hamstring strain in the same game and hasn’t featured for Steven Gerrard’s men since.

“Joe Aribo and Kemar (Roofe) won’t be with us tomorrow, but they are progressing well, moving along really nicely,” said Gerrard.

“Ryan Jack was back in full training yesterday. We managed that session, but he will train fully this morning. He has had no reaction.

“Brandon Barker is the same. He trained yesterday for the first time as well. No reaction as well. They will both be with us this morning.

“Cedric Itten had a bit of an issue yesterday in training with his knee that we are going to check out today, but he is a major doubt for tomorrow.”
