SUPPORTERS of Kelty Hearts have been hailed as "unbelievable" and their manager has backed them to return in number for the new season kick off.

Last week, the club announced that season tickets for the forthcoming campaign – which is likely to start in October – are now on sale.

Even though the season wasn't completed because of Coronavirus, fans who attended games at New Central Park watched their favourites hammer home a whopping 63 goals in just 13 home league fixtures.

Of those, 11 ended in victory, with the other two drawn, as Barry Ferguson's men surged to a six-point lead at the Lowland League summit before they were declared champions on a points-per-game average.

With former Pars star Kallum Higginbotham, and ex-Arbroath keeper Darren Jamieson, having been added to an already talented squad, the 2020 season is already shaping up to be an exciting one.

In addition, some of Kelty's league rivals, such as East Kilbride and East Stirlingshire, have been adding players with SPFL experience to their squads in what is looking like being a keenly-contested league.

Ferguson, who took over in 2018, has hailed the New Central Park faithful for playing their part in the team's success, and commented: "In the 18 months I've been at the club, the fans have been unbelievable.

"They've come through the gates in their numbers and I know it's been a difficult three, four months for everybody, people hit financially, but I've no doubt in my mind that the fans will find a way to back the club and get their season tickets.

"It's not just me and my staff; the players appreciate it as well. You saw some of the attendances we had at some of the games, even on a Tuesday, rainy, windy night – which it's normally like in Kelty every day – the fans turned out in numbers.

"Some of the attendances were brilliant, and I'm sure they'll continue to back the club and buy their season books."

The club have stated that, as there remains a possibility that some matches at the beginning of the campaign may need to be played in front of a restricted capacity, a season ticket guarantees entry.

Briefs cost £110 for adults (£125 for stand seats), and £55 for concessions (£70 for the stand), while under-12s go free.

Walk-up prices will cost £8 for adults, and £4 for concessions, and supporters can buy their season tickets from New Central Park at weekends; the club's kit partners, The Soccer Shop Direct, which is based in Primrose Lane, Rosyth; or online at http://www.keltyhearts.co.uk/club-shop/.
