LOCHORE Welfare and Lochgelly Albert have been placed in the same East of Scotland League Conference for the new season.

The clubs, who left the junior scene after last season was brought to a halt by the coronavirus crisis, have been placed in 15 team Conference B and they will have loads of Fife derbies to look forward to.

Joining them in Conference B are Glenrothes, Oakley United, Newburgh and Burntisland Shipyard. Making up the division will be Eyemouth United, Hawick Royal Albert, Kinnoull, Easthouses Lily, Luncarty, Heriot Watt University, Stirling University, Peebles Rovers and Preston Athletic.

The EoS management structure hope that the league action will start by early October.

Meanwhile Premier League Dundonald Bluebell have been busy getting several key players sign contract extensions and manager Kevin Fotheringham has made a major signing.

The Moorsiders were delighted to announce the signing of striker John Cameron.

At the age of 31, John was full time at Ross County and has played regularly in the Highland League with Nairn County and Inverness Clach. John has recently moved to Fife and Kevin welcomed him to the 'Bell

The club are also delighted to announce a long term contract extension has also been agreed with attacker Chris Gay. Despite interest from a number of other clubs 'Chrissy' was pleased to stay at the 'Bell.

Another contract extension was agreed and signed with influential left sided player Ross Drummond and the club were delighted to announce that centre back James Mackie has signed a contract extension.

New Lochgelly Albert manager Ross Gallacher has been busy making additions to the squad for the coming season.

Callum Jarvis, Joe Meldrum, Cameron Sneddon, and Dan Thomson join from the Albert Colts after being on delayed transfer last year.

Lewis Kerwin joins from Dundonald Bluebell Under 20s, and Lee Kirby, who made several appearances last season, has signed for the coming campaign. They’re joined by Liam Woods, formerly of Dundonald, and former Albert man, Len Wilson, who was recently with Kelty Over 30s.
