“HIGH Performing" athletes at Lochgelly High School have been recognised in a new display within the school.

Pupils who are competing at a regional level or above in their chosen sport were asked to come forward to the PE Department and Active Schools and become ‘Lochgelly Sports Stars’.

High Schools across Fife have taken on this programme to use pupils to inspire their peers to participate and compete in sport.

LHS have pupils excelling in a number of sports ranging from football, to fencing, basketball and athletics to name but a few.

Active Schools Co-ordinator, Simon Warren, said: “These pupils have worked hard to get to a high level in their sport and are good role models for younger pupils. "As well as being recognised within their own school, the athletes will be working with the Lochgelly High cluster Primaries to share their story and provide tasters in their sport”.
