ALTHOUGH he is looking forward to his arrival on the 125 scene this spring, Lochore racer Lennon Docherty went back to the MiniMoto formula last weekend to take part in a team endurance event in Kirkcaldy.

Lennon, from New Flockhouse, decided to take part in the 3 hour MiniMoto Endurance race, at Kartstart,in Kirkcaldy, as part of a three man team. Each rider had to complete four stints each in the test but Lennon and his two team mates had no easy task, having to start from well down the grid.

Lennon and his team qualified third on the grid but as the places get reversed they actually started in eighth, which provided a test for the young riders.

Lennon, 12, and his team mates, Troy and Rhys, pretty much hit the front straight away, leading from start to finish in a dominant display and winning by seven laps, indeed impressive stuff from them.

Lennon loved being back on a MiniMoto for a one off race.

Lennon was racing in his class against Lewis Rollo (British Superstock winner), Rory Skinner (British Talent Cup winner ), Owen Paterson (Scottish 125 champion), Torquil Paterson (7 time Scottish Champion), but more than held his own with racing them and passing them.

He said: "It was a tremendous day and the racing was really good. My sponsors make all of this possible and I am very grateful to them."

Lennon is preparing to step up to the Scottish 125 Championship category in the spring.
