COWDENBEATH boss Gary Bollan has secured the signature of Brora Rangers midfielder Gavin Morrison and he goes straight into the squad for today's game with Brechin City.

The manager is delighted to have been able to add Gavin to the Central Park squad during the present transfer window.

Gavin celebrated his 30th birthday earlier this month and has a wealth of experience. He has been a mainstay of the Brora side, that currently sits on top of the Highland League, and has enjoyed a 7 year stay with the Cattachs at Dudgeon Park.

Prior to that he played in the Scottish League for both Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Elgin City as well as enjoying a short stint in Iceland with Grindavik.

Brora manager Steven Mackay paid tribute to Gavin by saying: "It is never easy when a player leaves our football club and in Gavin we are saying farewell to a player that has given more than most to Brora and has been instrumental in bringing all the success that we have all enjoyed since season 2013-14. League titles, cup triumphs and some incredible Scottish Cup journeys that will stay with us all forever. "A mainstay in our midfield, a leader, a top professional and a hugely popular figure in our dressing room who will be missed by us all but he goes with our very best wishes."

Director David Allan said: "We warmly welcome Gavin to Cowdenbeath and hope he can enjoy similar success at Central Park".
