FORMER Cowdenbeath defender David Marsh has received a two-match ban after stamping on Blue Brazil loan star Connor Smith.
Cowdenbeath had submitted a notice of complaint against Marsh as video footage (above) showed that the Stenhousemuir player stamped on Smith's leg after a foul was committed during a recent fixture between the sides.
Cowdenbeath beat Stenny 3-1 on Saturday, December 21, in the Scottish League Two match.
Marsh was not cautioned for his actions during the game, but Cowdenbeath submitted the complaint after reviewing the match footage.
Marsh was accused of violent conduct and the offence was admitted to.
He served the first of his two-match ban on Saturday as Stenhousemuir lost at home to Stirling Albion.
