YOUNG Cowdenbeath player Kyle Sneddon has received a massive boost with an international call.
The club's Twitter feed posted at the weekend: "Congratulations to defender Kyle Sneddon for his inclusion in the Scottish Schools Football Association Under 18 squad that will compete in this year's Centenary Shield competition".
Kyle attends Madras College in St Andrews and is a valued part of the Cowden first team squad.
He is an adaptable player and is comfortable at right back or can operate in midfield.
The Centenary Shield will involve teams from Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
Kyle made his debut against Stirling Albion in October at Forthbank and did well.
He has been a regular on the bench for the Blue Brazil and manager Gary Bollan is ready to use him at anytime if needed.
Kyle is now looking forward to the Centenary Shield matches which will take place in the new year.
