A YOUNG Benarty motocross enthusiast has a big test awaiting him this weekend.
Mason Robertson, 6, is a pupil at St.Kenneth's R.C Primary, in Ballingry, has just secured a sponsorship for racing motocross in 2020 and he has hist first race this weekend in Aberdeen.
Mason began riding at age 3 with Kingdom Off Road Motorcycle club at the Kirkness Track where his family hired the kit and bike and he had some lessons.
Said mum Lesley: "We purchased him his on PW50 at Christmas time and within the year he was ready to move up to something a bit quicker where we bought his current bike a KTM50sx.
"He continues to receive coaching with Kingdom Off Road who are amazing with the kids".
Added Lesley: "Sunday sees us travel up to Kintore where he will compete in a Stubble Field Race with Aberdeen & District Motocross Club.
"This will be his first MX race and he's very excited about it too.
"He has secured sponsorship from Street Evolution Motorcycles, in Inverkeithing, who have offered a great package for his 2020. He also has sponsorship from Next Generation Valet & Detailing in Crosshill who offered him free power washing of his bike".
