THURSDAY September 26 saw the 40th year of the annual inter school swimming gala for pupils with additional support needs.
Lochgelly High has hosted this event since it was opened back in 1987!
Ten schools from across Fife took part in in this year’s event which is the most the gala has seen attending, including a string team from Woodmill High School’s Department of Additional Support.
The day wouldn’t have been a success it it was not for the school’s senior learners who did a sterling job as timekeepers in their roles as Young Ambassadors.
A big thank-you must be mentioned to Mr Richard Brickley and his team from Fife Disability Sport for organising such a fantastic event that shows inclusion at its best.
Lochgelly High School successfully retained the Russell Hog Trophy this year through their hard work, reliance and positive attitudes.
