COWDENBEATH boss Gary Bollan is looking for positive reaction from his players after Saturday's cup defeat at Broxburn when the Blues take on Stirling Albion tonight at Forthbank.

Cowdenbeath were one of two big scalps for East of Scotland Premier League sides with Stenhousemuir joining the Blue Brazil on the cup sidelines having lost 3-0 at Penicuik.

The manager said yesterday: "The performances in both ties against Broxburn were way below the standards set in the first nine league games.

"Not one department of the side played as it should have and it really is disappointing to be out of the cup at this stage.

"However, it is history now and we have to concentrate on building on the good start to the league campaign we have put together.

"The lads were really dejected after the game at Broxburn on Saturday but we told them that if they win at Stirling and beat Cove at Central Park on Saturday they will be top of the league and that is the way to respond to a bad result."

'Keeper Kevin Dabrowski will start his first game for two months tonight and also missing will be wing-back Fraser Mullen after his accident with a chain saw.

Back in the team will be defender Chris Hamilton and midfielder Connor Smith, after missing the cup matches.

The match has a 7.45pm start.
