CONGRATULATIONS went to Glen Livingston, from Cowdenbeath BC, who retained the open men’s singles title for physically disabled bowlers at the Scottish Disability Sport national championships held at Westburn Park, in Aberdeen, on Saturday.

Glen defeated past Scottish mainstream international skip, Garry Hood from Ayrshire, who recorded a win over Billy Allan from Cowdenbeath BC in the semi-final.

Outstanding results for the two Fife Para bowlers who will be on international duty in Cardiff from Thursday for the 2019 Para bowls Home international.

Eleanor Clark from Kirkcaldy won the section for B1 blind bowlers and reigning IBD world champion Maria Spencer from Abbeyview BC missed out on a medal by only one shot in the B3 mixed section for visually impaired bowlers. Conditions were challenging for all players because of the wind and cold.

Another excellent day at the national championships for Fife’s Para bowlers.
