LOCHGELLY Bowling Club's West Fife Association League squad deserve the highest praise for their amazing escape from relegation from the First Division.
A month ago it looked odds on that they would go down in seventh place.
However, the following three weeks has seen them take on Abbeyview, Dalgety Bay and Crossgates needing wins by minimum of 5-2 margins to ensure safety.
Considering their early season form this seemed impossible but the above scorelines was exactly what they achieved and they finished in fifth place.
The last game, against Crossgates, saw Alan Scott's rink win quite comfortably but Jim McGuire's team lost out.
With two points and a shot difference of plus 4 it all depended on Alan Bowers' rink being successful, which they were.
The Crossgates players felt it was all against them having to play Alan on his favourite rink number 5.
But what bowlers from other clubs don't realise is that this season he has played on rink 4 more often than he has been in Station Road!
To complete a memorable week for the Lochgelly club they have reached the final of the West Fife Senior Nines with victory over Kinghorn at Rosyth.
