A GROUP of pupils with additional support needs, from Balwearie and Lochgelly High Schools, have enjoyed taking part in an inclusive golf event at Dunnikier Park Golf Club, in Kirkcaldy.

Anna Tizzard, the Council’s Sports Development Officer for Disability Sport said: “All 18 participants had the opportunity to develop their swing, chip and putting golf skills before playing on the Park’s new six-hole golf course.

“It was a great day all round and really beneficial for the young people taking part. Events like this are an essential part of making sport more accessible for all and to give those with additional support needs the confidence to participate.

“I’d like to thank Dunnikier Golf Club, Fife Golf Trust and Scottish Disability Golf for their assistance in delivering such a worthwhile event.”
