COWDENBEATH will play Hearts, Dundee United, East Fife and Stenhousemuir in the group stage of the Betfred League Cup.

The draw made on Tuesday has seen them in the same section as Championship side United, Premiership Hearts, League 1 East Fife and Stenny from their own Division.

The Blues met East Fife and Hearts in last season’s competition and United the previous season. Hearts at home would ensure some early cash flow!

Meanwhile Cowdenbeath, like most clubs, are very greatly aided by season ticket purchases by the club’s fans.
