On Saturday at Broad Street the visitors were Kirkcaldy, who were welcomed by ex-vice president J O Hagan.

This was done in the clubhouse due to the drizzly conditions but 6 rinks of triples played 17 ends.

The weather did not seem to bother anyone when you heard the enjoyment on the green.

Once again the visitors came out on top with the scores (home skips first) J O Hagan 17 Ina 21, H Reid 16 Bill 14, J Cain 15, J Macdonald 12 B Johnstone 11, H Davidson 21, W Anderson 11 A haldane 22, T Ritchie 10 A Macdonald 28. Totals Broad Street 80 Kirkcaldy 118.

Sweep winner T Ritchie with the lowest score at end of game. Once more a lovely meal was served by Lilian's Catering.

There were mixed fortunes in external games, both Babbs teams lost but the Gents Singles, Pairs, Triples, and Senior 4s progressed in the 'Scottish'. The ladies triples also progressed to the next round in the Scottish while the Gents singles, pairs, triples and senior 4s also progressed in the Fife competition.

In the John Hoggan Trophy, the result was Broad Street 6 points, Headwell 6 points.

Next week's game is against Bowhill.
