TEAM Beath netballers have had another good league season.

The school have regularly been fielding eight teams with over 75 girls regularly training and playing for Team Beath!

They have 5 committed staff delivering coaching sessions and taking the pupils to matches and have also been supported in the netball programme by four senior pupils, thank-you to them for all their hard work. They have also formed a partnership with Kirkcaldy Netball Club who train at Beath High on Wednesday evenings to try and facilitate the pathway from school into club sport! Exciting times!

Their S1's have competed well in many friendlies and are gaining experience every match. This will stand them in good stead for their S1 Fife Schools Tournament which is coming up after the Easter holidays.

The S2 A team finished 2nd in their league group winning 4 games against Kirkcaldy, Inverkeithing, Queen Anne and Woodmill B and only losing 1 game to Waid who have made the final. This qualified them for the semi-final of the league. They drew a tough Balwearie side who on this occasion knocked them out and are now in the final.

The S2 B team had a tough league draw and finished 5th in their league winning 1 game against Lochgelly. The girls never gave up and learned from each game. At the S2 tournament both teams played some good netball in spells but were unfortunately both put out at the start of the knockout sections, A in the cup and B in the plate.

The S3 team came 4th in the league playing matches against Bell Baxter, Queen Anne, Levenmouth and Woodmill B.

The Senior A team were 2nd in their league group winning 3 games against Glenwood, Queen Anne and Kirkcaldy B, losing 1 game to Waid who have made it to the league final. They drew a strong Balwearie in the 1/4 final and unfortunately got knocked out at this stage. Balwearie have since gone on to win the League championship.

At the tournament the C team (1/4) were runners-up in the plate competition and the A team were 1/4 finalists in the Cup competition. The B team made it to the 1/4 finals of the plate getting knocked out by the C team!

All the senior netballers are now looking forward the annual Sports Award Dinner where the players player, coaches player and most improved players in each of the 3 squads will be announced.
