ON Saturday 18 Broad Street bowlers made the short trip to Leslie for their annual friendly and lost by 20 shots.

The Broad Street team enjoyed the new changing rooms and toilets which the Leslie club had see seen introduced during the closed season.

The game game was played in lovely sunshine but unfortunately a cold breeze.

The players enjoyed their game due the good condition of the green and the good friendship and hilarity.

The scores unfortunately did not go Broad Street's way although three triples won three also lost.

The total scores were Leslie 103, Broad Street 83.

Sweep winners for Broad Street were A Ferguson T Ritchie and B Watson.

A lovely meal of hot soup and buffet was supplied by the hosts.

There was a sweep run for the Scottish Grand National. The winner was T Walsh from Broad Street.

President A Ferguson thanked Leslie for the day and wished them all best for the coming season and with future plans for their club.

Meanwhile at Lochore Bowling Club on Saturday, ladies champion, Carol Mulligan, threw the first Jack and a great day was had by all.

The eventual winners were Jim Kilgour and Tam McLeod. Anyone interested in joining the club would be very welcome, just give them a call.
