COWDENBEATH'S league match with Peterhead tomorrow has been postponed, it has been confirmed this morning.

Gary Bollan's team had been due to host the second-top Blue Toon at Central Park but the freezing temperatures has led to the game being called off.

The Blue Brazil, in conjunction with opponents Rangers and the Scottish Football Association, funded a pitch protection and incubation system to ensure that their Scottish Cup fourth round tie went ahead on Wednesday.

The original tie had been due to played on Friday January 18 but the wintry weather put paid to it going ahead.

Rangers went on to win Wednesday's tie, and secure a trip to Kilmarnock in the next round, with a 3-1 win in front of a sold-out crowd of 4,116.

No new date has so far been set for the Peterhead game.
