COWDENBEATH’s run of hard games continues on Saturday when Peterhead come to Central Park.

Cowden follow their trip to Broadwood with the Blue Toon coming to Central and they will be looking to get back to winning ways after their shock 3-0 defeat at Annan last weekend.

That Annan win did not help the Cowden hopes of staying close to the top four in League 2 and the Blues could do with beating the Aberdeenshire side this weekend.

Cowdenbeath are nine points behind Annan, with two games in hand, and the Borders side are due at Central Park in a few weeks time.

So it is all there for Cowdenbeath to do and they could do with picking up at least one point from second top Peterhead.

Cowdenbeath boss Gary Bollan is looking for his team to cause the Blue Toon more problems in their bid to stay with Edinburgh City at the top of the table.

He said: “It is another big game for us but it is certainly one we can take points from.

“We did not play as well against Clyde as we had done in other games but still had a couple of good chances and we could have got something from the game.

“Peterhead are a strong side but of we can reach the form of games earlier in January we can get the result we want.”

Cowden’s team is likely to be on the same lines of the side at Broadwood although skipper David Marsh may return at the back and attacker Martin Scott may be used at some stage in this one.
