COWDENBEATH have transferred Brad Smith to the juniors ranks.

He has not been involved at Central Park for some months. He is presently studying in Dundee and was finding it difficult to combine his studies with his commitment to Cowdenbeath FC.

He was therefore effectively on an agreed leave of absence. Following discussions with Brad and given his service to the club (including that goal v Cove) the club agreed that it would be willing to allow him to move on to play in the local juniors in the Dundee area.

A small fee was agreed for Brad’s transfer to Broughty Athletic and Brad has now left Central Park and all at Central Park wish him all the best with his studies and in his football.

Added director David Allan: "Pat Scullion’s contract with the club expired on January 5 and was not extended. Latterly, Pat had been out due to injury.

"We offer grateful thanks to Pat for all his fine service to Cowdenbeath FC over three separate spells – including of course our 2006 Third Division championship success. It has been a pleasure to have Pat at Central Park, he always showed a great deal of loyalty and passion for the Blue Brazil over the years and served us well. Pat played 118 games for Cowdenbeath FC and scored 9 goals – 3 of them winning the Cowdenbeath Goal of the Season Award in 3 different seasons! "

Cammy Muirhead’s loan spell with Civil Service Strollers ended on January 3 and he has now returned to the Central Park fold after gaining more experience and scoring goals in the Lowland League.
