THIS year Cowdenbeath FC is once again promoting its own Christmas Prize Draw.

Club Directors met with Brian Mann, from the SFA, on the subject of Child Wellbeing at Central Park.

In particular to look further at the recommendations of the recent Independent Review and how these relate to Clubs. The club of course has its own published policy and laid down procedures. It is a wide-ranging subject and for example areas such as the club’s part ownership of the Fife Elite Football Academy, our Community activities and allowing the Blue Brazil Boys Club to use the club's trademarked name are just some of the wider aspects that also need to be kept in view.

The club welcomed Ladbrokes who were visiting Central Park on Tuesday to film and conduct interviews with staff, etc. pre the match v Queen’s Park

As Ladbrokes intimated: "The intention is that as proud sponsors for the SPFL we really want to showcase to the world what Scottish football is all about and honour those not just on the park but off it too.

"This season, we'll be visiting all 42 clubs for a Ladbrokes social media series we call #Lads42. Our aim is to give fans and the world alike a behind the scenes look at all the love, blood, sweat and tears that go into the match day experience. From the Kit man to the Programme seller. Giving an insight into some of the real characters at the club. The people who help make the club tick."

The pre-Xmas Blue Brazil Bonus Ball lottery of course always features the Blockbuster Bonanza prize which is double that won every other month.

This year’s winner of the £900 prize is Jamie Finlayson who saw his number 10 secure him the cash. So well done indeed Jamie – a nice pre-Christmas boost!
