COWDEN fans can still get hold of the commemorative badges to mark the 25th anniversary since the publishing of The Black Diamonds and The Blue Brazil.

Director David Allan said then: "Back in August we announced – ‘25 years ago Ron Ferguson’s classic book Black Diamonds and the Blue Brazil was first published. His tale of a small Fife mining town and its football club soon attracted a cult following and it has gone on to become one of the favourite football books of so many of those who love the Beautiful Game. To celebrate this 25th anniversary, Cowdenbeath FC have commissioned a limited edition commemorative badge which will be on sale at the club shop at Central Park from tomorrow. Badges are priced at £4.50 and feature a special Black Diamonds & the Blue Brazil design – the five black diamonds on the badge also represent the 5 Scottish League titles won by Cowdenbeath FC over its history (1914, 1915, 1939, 2006 and 2012). Don’t miss out get yours now before they are all gone! ‘

He added this week: "Well they were all gone in record time and due to demand we have now obtained a further small stock so badges are again available from the Club shop – this time though once they are gone, they are gone!"

Play off anomalies involving Lowland/Highland Leagues and SPFL League Two in respect of rules are now being considered by the PGB – e.g. trialists playing League games after transfer deadline, differing levels of fines for misconduct, etc.
