THEY’RE tearing a strip off the opposition and now table-topping Crossgates Primrose 2005s have been handed some shiny new kit.

The team, who have won all seven of their matches in the Fife Development Football League so far this season, have been given a double boost thanks to Dunfermline brothers, Andy and Stuart Dalziell.

Their respective businesses – Better Movers and Thinkers, and Abbey Forth Property Management – are the team’s new kit sponsors.

Peter Westbrook, who coaches the 2005s, the 2009s and is the chairman of Crossgates Primrose YFC, said: “Andy has supported the club since we started six years ago and he has been sponsoring strips all the way through.

“They are friends of mine and decided to join together, which is great.

“The 2005 lads are in tier two of the Fife Development Football League; they’ve played seven games so far and have won all seven.

“They’re playing some good stuff and are a great bunch of kids.”

Peter continued: “We’ve got 175 kids at the moment under the Crossgates banner.

“From when we started, we’ve gone from having two teams to 18 or 19, and it keeps growing.

“We’ve had a lot of helpers and volunteers who just wanted their kids to play football, and all of a sudden, it has just steamrollered.”
