COWDENBEATH will have a derby fixture in the Barrs Irn Bru Cup competition.

Last week's first round paired Cowden with League 1 East Fife and this tie will take place at Central Park on Tuesday August 14 with a 7.45pm kick off.

Fans should note that Irn Bru Cup games this season go straight to penalties in the event of a draw after 90 minutes apart from semi-finals and final.

There is an additional game at Cowdenbeath this Sunday July 8 – a reminder when a friendly match will take place at Central Park on Sunday 8 July at 2pm with Hearts playing Partick Thistle. With Tynecastle having a new pitch laid the Jam Tarts asked if they could used Central.

MTS Catering has agreed to take on the catering arrangements for football at Central Park for the season ahead – they currently act as caterers to the stock cars.

Meanwhile ex Blue Brazilian Kane Hemmings has signed a three year deal with Notts County.

Lewis Milne has joined Raith Rovers along with Robbie Thomson. Partick Thistle have made Jamie Sneddon available for loan and Brad Donaldson has joined Edinburgh City; Ali Smith has joined Whitehill Welfare; Jordan Hornby has signed for Dundee Downfield; Matthew McInally has joined Troon; Gerry McLauchlan is at Queen’s Park; Derek Lyle has signed with Peterhead; Scott Rumsby is with Clyde; Blair Penman has joined Crossgates Primrose; and Hamish Thomson has gone to Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts.

Loan rules for next season have been amended and there are no longer any provisions for Emergency Loans.
