COWDENBEATH player/manager Colin Nish spoke this week of his delight that skipper John Armstrong has signed on for his seventh consective season with the Blue Brazil.
The central defender (top picture) put pen to paper along with Liam Callaghan, Craig Johnston and Kenny Adamson (bottom picture).
And he confirmed that he is continuing his efforts to secure the out of contract players he wants to keep and is also putting out feelers to potential signings.
Armstrong has skippered the side for several seasons and is seen as ‘Mr Dependable’ as he has tallied well over 200 games for the Blues.
The new player/manager was very pleased to see the pivot commit himself to Cowden for next season.
“John has been Cowdenbeath’s most solid central defender for many years and it is a real boost that he has committed himself to us,” said Mr Nish.
“He will again be a key man for us next season as we go all out to make a big impact in the SPFL League One.” With Dean Brett and Kenny Adamson (27) also signed up Cowdenbeath will have three defenders that played regularly throughout their three season stay in the Championship.
Kenny has also played over 200 times for the Blue Brazil and is equally as comfortable in the centre of the defence and is a fierce competitor.
