WHAT an interesting article that was in the Times about the path being blocked linking Leuchatsbeath and Perth Road.

It is not one that I use but the article had views from regular users of it and they were rightly concerned about finding it locked up.

But we are in a situation which has been causing problems all over the UK with the coronavirus crisis posing all sorts of problems for organisations, companies and Governments.

So to be honest I am not surprised that the dairy company has taken the decision to close off the path.

The processing of dairy products is something that is seen as necessary by the Governments as part of the food supply chain.

So the dairy company are right to be looking at their security and if the closure of the right of way is necessary during this time of crisis the walkers will just have to accept that over a short period of time the path is out of bounds.

It is important just now that everything is done to protect people from coronavirus and if the closure of the path is part of that then so be it.

The number of infections in Fife is steadily dropping, from the material released, and has been regularly in single figures per day which is to be welcomed and everything that helps promote that surely has to be welcomed.

So while I fully understand the frustration of the folk that use the path past the dairy every day but at this time people just have to put up with it.
