THIS coronavirus situation is kind of putting a real hole in the work of the volunteers who run the tremendous groups that tackle isolation.

The Benarty Companions Club is a really unbelievably good organisation and it really makes a difference to a lot of people.

The same can be said for Lo'Gelly Lunches and the group in Auchterderran Church.

While the other two have been going along for a year or more the Benarty one only started at the end of the year and from a small beginning has being having a great turn out on a Friday.

A huge success and all of a sudden it has had to close due to the coronavirus situation.

That is a real shame but hopefully it will not be too long before it is back open and the same goes for the other ones.

The people who organise all these groups deserve all the credit they get. They are superb ideas that really work and hopefully people will soon have the chance to resume their days at these groups.
