COMPENSATION from the Mossmorran Complex seems to make all the Council and Committees jump on the bandwagon.

The community councils are ‘meant’ to help make public bodies aware of opinions and needs of the individuals and townsfolk of Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly.

All compensation going into a community pot is unjust in every way.

The people who are being, and have been so affected in the past by the flaring and noise, sickening and dirty air pollution. And who still ‘live’ in fear and dread of the next ground shaking occurrence are the ones who should get compensation.

Are you the committees and councillors stating that you alone are to act for the people.

How do you work out by giving to so called worthy causes, which I am sure, are more or less the same groups that get all the help all the time.

How do you comprehend that those people will think your ideas a great solution? How?

If the Mossmorran lot give the community councils and councillors charge of the kitty, that would be totally admitting that the plants had you in their ‘hold’.

Without being obvious, it would be like ‘back handers’ and even then, it is still not helping ones who deserve it.

Can you lot not realise that any compensation should be due to the people affected, not going through any council or committees. Direct and individually to those homes that have suffered.

This cannot go on any longer. We the people have no say or are even asked. So how on earth can you class committees, councils and groups eligible for compensation?

This councillor, Alex Campbell, has been involved in getting this set up. Again how does he have the power to state that compensation should be paid into a large kitty or pot.

Get your facts straight, compensation, if any is given, unless paid direct to those suffering in homes near plants etc, cannot be called compensation. It is just numbers and figures going somewhere.

No one has asked the individuals and homes affected by Mossmorran, if they would settle for that. Do you know why? Again, as to us, all it seems that Mossmorran then has councils and committees in the palm of their hand.

All we get are lies. The only way to prove that those plants are willing to pay compensation is if they pay those hurting and suffering as an individual.

Not another grasping council/committee agreement group.

Councillor Campbell has been working trying to put the wheels in motion to win some sort of compensation from Exxon and Shell for the communities affected by flaring and other activities connected with the plants and is aware of the complexities of the issue. The Ed
