I WILL be brief. This ‘compensation ‘ from the two plants at Mossmorran should only be given to those who are local and near or affected by them.

Not only flaring but noise, the trembling of the ground, fumes etc.

I am shocked that a councillor can stand up and say that compensation should be going into one pot, controlled by community groups.

The contribution of this councillor speaks volumes, I ask where does this power come from? There should be surely no one with power to make suggestions like that.

I hope that Exxon and Shell have the insight to see nothing short of compensating those near or in homes verging on Mossmorran itself.

In otherwise those being disturbed and distressed’ all these past years, those that have suffered and endured. Are they not entitled to payments?

When Trust is involved Exxon and Shell must ensure these folk who have suffered all those years, get paid something. Individually not a mixed pot for others to dictate or state.

What I find very odd is, we are just starting to ‘trust’ these two plants by agreeing to compensation, that has proved caring.

Don’t now blow that trust, or it will never be regained again. Pay those people, preferably in person to their individual homes, not pots.

Pay the people each and every one of them, and Let Us Keep The Trust in you both.

The operators of the plants at Mossmorran have not agreed to any compensation deals as yet. The co-leaders of Fife Council are set to seek a meeting with the companies to examine the prospects of compensation. The Ed.
