JUDGING by last week's Times why bother going to the meeting about Mossmorran.

It seems that it has been agreed by councillors it should be a common pot.

And not one of those who have suffered all these years, I for one have had fears and dreads of up coming disasters and explosions because I live so near the plants.

That and with the real facts of flaring, clouds coming from the plants, noise, vibrations and health worries.

This compensation was meant to be just that. Compensation for those who lived near or were affected by the Mossmorran plants.

Why are all these council and committees now standing up to be counted when so many, such as myself, live in dread.

In case you councillors do not realise, by not paying direct to all those still in the same position, these plants are actually denying us. Just to give for community projects?

Come on, no one is naive. So I say 'shame on you' to those council and organisations that are intending to deprive the ones who should be compensated, by making sure it is put in their greedy baskets and pots.

If the council or organisations concerned get this compensation there will be an outrage.

It has been hard enough these past years taking plants' and council's words for anything. But if they do this to the people who should have been paid for all they endure and suffer. Then they have no empathy or even care. I have noticed lately talking to people, they too use the words endure and suffer, both physically and mentally.

Let us hope this Climate Camp Scotland is independent of you all. Who knows, they may find out a lot.

Compensations is for ones' affected, not any branch of councils.

The plants should have the decency to approach each home, obviously affected and or near the plants, and offer each home set compensation.

This would be the honest solution to all this. But where there is money, there is always the ones who keep taking, isn't there?

AULD TAM.
