LEADING breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now, is holding a free event in Dunfermline to help women adjust to life beyond breast cancer and I am sure it is something that would be of interest to readers in the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area.
Working in partnership with NHS Fife, Breast Cancer Now’s course will provide information and support to women as they finish their breast cancer treatment.
The one day event will include a Q&A session with local Breast Care Nurses, information on healthy eating and physical activity. There will also be a session on bras and prostheses.
This is all taking place on Thursday February 27 at the Carnegie Library, in Abbot Street, Dunfermline.
There are an estimated 691,000 people alive after a diagnosis of breast cancer today in the UK. The need for support doesn’t end when treatment finishes. In fact, it is often the time people need us the most.
This event is free of charge, but participants must register in advance by calling Breast Cancer Now on 0345 077 1893 or email movingforward@breastcanc
When you have breast cancer, everything changes. Time becomes measured in appointments. The next scan. The next results. The next challenge.
At Breast Cancer Now, we understand the emotions, challenges and decisions you face every day. So, from the day you notice something’s not right to the day you begin to move forward, we’ll be here to help you through.
Whether you want to speak to our nurses, download our specialist information or connect with volunteers who have faced what you are facing now, we can help you feel more in control.

Services Development Co-ordinator at Breast Cancer Now
