IT could be a busy summer in the Cowdenbeath area with the expected arrival of Climate Camp Scotland at Mossmorran.

Could it be that we could have some of the scenes we see on the telly through Extinction Rebellion's activities in different parts of the country.

I believe that the Camp folk are linked to Extinction Rebellion so that is bound to mean that there will be folk arriving in the area that will be out to make a bit of a song and dance about the gas plants.

The thing is that by that time, if the improvements at the Fife Ethylene Plant are increasing and working, there ain't going to be much for them to protest about.

Also maybe by then the gas companies will have agreed to some form of compensation for the problems that have occurred over the years.

I am not sure how this is all going to work. Presumably in the run up to it the Camp people will be letting folk know exactly what is going to take place.

Maybe they will invite local people to go along and get involved, certainly I would expect the Mossmorran Action Group people to take part.

It is something which is bound to capture the imagination of the national media and that will maybe be good publicity for the Central Fife area.

Also having people camped at Mossmorran for five days is bound to bring business to Cowdenbeath, you would think, so all in all it will be an interesting time.

How the companies deal with it it will be interesting to see, but I would think they will be working hard to make sure there is no flaring during the five days of the camp!

Mind you what if it is raining when the campers are here, that could turn it all into a damp squib!
