I WAS really pleased to see the story in the Times about the new company which has moved into the former Andrew Antenna factory.
That has been an important industrial site in Lochgelly for I would say for more than 50 years.
However, when the Commscope operation reduced its operation it maybe looked as if the end was nigh.
Mercifully the big factory has several businesses operating out of it now, with the Clas-Sic Wafer company the latest to arrive and it has not taken them long to get interested in their new base.
Sponsoring Lochgelly High School for STEM subjects is a really interesting thing for them to do and having one of the company's top guys coming from Colorado to meet pupils and staff is a really good thing for them to be involved in.
Hopefully they will go from strength to strength in Lochgelly and become a strong part of the community and continuing its support of Lochgelly High and maybe other groups in the town and surrounding area.
