LOCHGELLY Community Christmas Lights Committee, would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this year's festive display happen.

This includes Fife Council and the 4Winds Trust for grants received. Exxon Mobil, Ore Valley Housing Association, S.M Bayne’s, Shades Salon, Bright Heating and Renewables, Carrick Opticians, Lochgelly Chinese Takeaway, Lee Cottage, Fife Flowers, Master Cut, Sadie Gourdie and Mary Smith, for their monetary donations.

Selection Boxes which were donated by Lochgelly Co-op Supermarket and raffle prizes donated by Hugh Black & Sons Butchers, Top Knot Hairdressers, CK Hair, The Loft, Body Glo, Beauty Spot, Perfect Pooches, Dears Pharmacy, Special Occasions, West End Bar, Shardy’s, Lochgelly News Plus, Pins and Needles, Golden Fry, Paige Wright’s Barbers, Kooner’s, A&R Fish Bar, McColl’s Motion Street, Nisa Extra, Tuck Shop Station Road, All in One Tandoori, Tone & Tan, Foot Care at Home, Old Ship Inn, Wax Melts Fife, Macari Cafe, Coral Bookmaker, Shak’s and Jean MacDonald.

Torley’s Bar and Function Suite are sponsoring us from now throughout next year by donating raffle money raised at their functions.

The winner of the hamper was Anne McLean. All other prize winners have been notified and most have now been picked up from the Community Shop.

We would also like to thank Lochgelly High School Pipe Band and Brass Ensemble for providing the music for the Carol Service and Parade. Major Jane Kemp, of Lochgelly Salvation Army Corps, for the Christmas Message. Eileen McKenna, Helen Ross and Christine McGrath for switching on the Christmas Tree Lights. A special mention to Mr and Mrs Claus for distributing selection boxes to the children and listening to their long lists.

A big thank-you to Lochgelly Women’s Social Group, Lochgelly Community Shop, Lorraine Mullen and Fife Council Youth Workers, Burntisland First Aid and all volunteers on the night.

Special thanks to the ladies of St. Patrick’s RC Church for their help with refreshments, Tam Durham and John Courts for taking the equipment back and forth and helping to set it up. Your help was very much appreciated

To the community of Lochgelly and surrounding areas, thank-you for coming out in such great numbers on a cold night. A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL !
