THE Cardenden Community Bonfire and Fireworks Committee would like to thank the personnel from the police and the local fire brigade for their presence at our event in Wallsgreen Park, Bowhill on November 8.
We would also like to thank our four local councillors, Linda Erskine, Rosemary Liewald, Lea McLelland and Mary Lockhart, for lighting the bonfire, as well as compere Kenny McGurk for providing the music and everyone who attended.
We are grateful to the can collectors, staff from the Bowhill Centre and Corrie Centre, Margaret King for taking photographs, as well as the three local primary schools and youth clubs for making the excellent guys on the night.
We were helped by various sources with financial support from Ore Valley Housing Association, who also assisted with transport on the day, and Ronnie McPherson.
It was a magnificent fireworks display, there was another large turnout and we were blessed with excellent weather.
