COUNCILLORS Darren Watt and Alex Campbell are right to be unhappy about the delays on the Farm Road being sorted out.
This has been dragging on for too long. It looked like things were getting sorted when the public meeting was held and there was a huge turnout of residents to give ideas on how the problems could be sorted.
Cars have always come down the slope quickly and it is inevitable that accidents would happen and really finding alternative parking was the most popular plan to sort things out.
Most folk think the best place to create the parking space is on the bank opposite some of the houses and that it would seem is the reason for the delays.
The councillors thought, it would seem, that things would move forward quickly but it hasn’t happened.
It all has ground to a halt. From what the councillors said in the paper they are waiting for costs.
Meanwhile the winter is fast approaching and there is little really been done but hopefully the pressure applied by the councillors will make things go faster.
