ARE you ex-service? Did you serve in Aden, Northern Ireland, the Falklands, Bosnia, Serbia, Iraq or Afghanistan? Or do you hold the Elizabeth Cross?

If so, Angus, Perthshire and Fife Area of Royal British Legion Scotland are keen to hear from you, and invite you to take part in the Muster at the Festival of Remembrance in Dundee’s Caird Hall on Saturday, November 2.

Taking part simply means walking down the aisle to the applause of the audience and taking a seat on the stage to enjoy the Festival – nobody has to make a speech or do anything special.

There is a rehearsal, and information of timings will be sent in advance (by e-mail preferably)

Every year the Festival Committee welcomes war widows to our Festival to recognise the price they paid, but many people might consider losing a son or daughter is an even higher price; so we would also welcome contact from any family that have been awarded the Elizabeth Cross as we wish to recognise your sacrifice.

A copy of the joining instructions will be forwarded to you and you will need to follow the instructions for the Muster; it is very important that you adhere to the times stated.

If you could provide an e-mail address that would be the preferred method of contact, but we are happy to use the mail if you so require -- and if you have contact with any other personnel who served in any post-Korea conflicts please ask them to attend and provide their contact details.

If you served and might wish to join the Muster, we would be honoured if you would attend. Just contact me as first step is the Convener: - Alastair W. McLean, 43 Strathmore Street, Brought Ferry, Dundee, DD5 2PA; tel 01382 778133, mobile 07484 787969 or e-mail alastair2912@gmail.
