AS a user of Farm Road, in Cowdenbeath, I am pretty happy that Fife Council is taking the problems with people speeding down this steep stretch seriously.

I know that the residents have been complaining for a few years about the problems they have experienced, with people banging in to parked cars.

But it can also be a bit of a hazard going up the slope when you have people coming around the corner too fast and while I have avoided being hit sometimes it has been all about a bit of good fortune.

So this is a real problem as people can see in the town that there is no shortage of people wanting to drive outwith the speed limits.

Anything that slows these people down is to be welcomed and I think the speed humps will at least make the speeders think if not totally slow them down.

What the total answer is to these people I do not know but but hopefully this current plan will work toward helping slow traffic on a dangerous road.

HUMP HAPPY,

Greenbank Drive,

Cowdenbeath.
